In a very close final against Torbjörn Blomdahl from Sweden he won 3-2, with the set scores 14-15, 15-8, 15-11, 14-15 and 15-13.

Nobody managed to retain their titles in the main single events. Ouschan was the only of last year’s champions to win a gold medal this year. The 2007 9-ball champion came out on top in 8-ball.

Engert wins Germany Open for ninth Euro Tour title

In the final the eight-time European champion trounced Italy’s Fabio Petroni 9-1 to win €6000. Petroni received €3800 for his runner-up finish.
In the semi-finals Engert defeated Karl Boyes (England) 9-3 while Petroni bested Finlands’s Markus Juva 9-7.

The winning team consisted of Torbjörn Blomdahl and Michael Nilsson. In the final they won 2-0 over Netherland’s duo, Raymond Burgman and Dick Jaspers.

Daryl Peach on top in German Open

In the final he defeated Dimitri Jungo (Switzerland) 10-3 to win €5000. Jungo took home €3300 for the runner-up position.
In the semi-finals Peach beat Spain’s David Alcaide and Jungo defeated Ralf Souquet from Germany.
