In the final he defeated Sweden’s Torbjörn Blomdahl 3-0. The set scores were 15-8, 15-2 and 15-8. Marco Zanetti (Italy) and Roland Forthomme (Belgium) shared third place.

Tony Drago wins French Open

In the final he defeated Christian Reimering from Germany 10-6 to win €6000. Reimering took home €3800 for the runner-up position.
In the semi-finals Drago hammered Finland’s Markus Juva 10-3 and Reimering defeated Marco Tschudi (Switzerland) 10-7.

In the final against fellow Belgian and defending champion Frédéric Caudron he came back from 1-9 down in the fifth and deciding set. Daniel Sanchez (Spain) and Dick Jaspers from Netherlands captured the bronze medals. Jaspers also came third last year.
